Review: A very well structured resource - Aimed at late beginners or early intermediate players (but to be honest would suit beginners who were getting their chords down too). It is spot-on and is by far the best resource for learning Blues Guitar that I have come across. I love the way that all the elements are included in each section (chords, rhythm, scale, lead parts and a turnaround). The lessons are bite sized and meant to be done in a day although not completing them all in a day isn't a big deal. 14 days, after all, is a bit on the ambitious side. Could have done with having the IV-V change included but the author has replied to my query about this and says that he didn't want to overload learners and has left this for the 7th and 14th day reviews. It doesn't take much to dig out the necessary chords for the rhythm part that's missing. And, I-IV-I makes up the vast majority of the blues progression anyway. This doesn't take away from this excellently organised and well thought out learning resource for guitarists like myself. A job well done in my opinion. A job well done in my opinion. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blues tutorial *by B***N on 27 July 2025* Excellent tutorial ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good concept but not for beginners *by S***R on 3 May 2019* Everyone learns differently, for me the concept of structured lessons with X amount of time on each one works really well. The author himself points out that you don't have to give the full 90 minutes per day to the lessons, rather you can allocate a shorter time and repeat the whole lot, if you wish. So there are a lot if good points. The embedded audio is great also, there's nothing worse than having to move away from your kindle to find something to play downloaded audio examples. The bad point for me is how quickly the learning curve rises, by day 3 I was struggling, and I've been playing for a while (although I'm not a great player by any means). But I found it very off-putting that the licks were so far beyond me, so quickly. Maybe that's my perfectionist streak? I suppose you could do your best with them and then repeat the whole process a few times. Bottom line, nice concept, embedded audio a major plus, best suited to an intermediate player (one who is comfortable with hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides etc).
