Not sturdy enough for my back. I much prefer a Tush Cush but bought this one because of lower price. I need to squeeze the sides in at the back in order for it to fit the seat correctly. I also make sure it is backed up to the very back of the seat. Once the cushion is put in place, it doesn't move or slide, which is great. It's very comfortable and hides the little lumps and dents that have formed in my driver seat through the years. The only slightly annoying thing about it is that when I get in the car, and put one leg in first, the edge of cushion sticks up and gets in the way of my other leg coming in. This would not be a problem if you use it for a chair. Glad I bought it.
