The buds would fall out when shaking my head. The buds slowly moved to the edge of my ear canal, it felt like they could fall out any time. The silicone covers prevent the sliding of the buds, which results in better sound (bass, volume). Now I can walk around, shake my head without the feeling that the buds may fall out any time. The buds come in 2 pairs and fit only one way so it's easy to slip on. A rubber pouch is also supplied. Is there a downside? Yes, you have to remove the silicone covers when you put the buds back in the box.
