I liked the way it is built to plug in multiple three pins plugs. Lead itself was built to put it in the surface and also can be attached in the walls with holes to hook it in the nails. I used the extension lead for my personal working station, where I used it to charge my laptops, monitor and multiple phones using the USB ports from the lead. Since I used the lead, it has saved my working space in my table. The cables look tidy and reduced tripping hazards. The length of cable 2m is enough to connect the lead from socket outlets to the working station. If the length of cable is increased, the voltage drop would become an issue and requires a large cross-section area of cable to withstand the similar 3000W of power.SAFETY - I didn't look into much details on the safety built-in features but by the pictures on the internet page (Amazon), it is well built by taking into consideration the electrical Safety. The Reset and OFF switch button on the lead itself can be used to turn off all the electricals at the same time. The cable size of the leads looks big enough to withstand the fault current in case of any fault occurred in the electrical products. The current rating 13A looks standard as per the UK household and the maximum power rating of 3000W seems to be more than enough to withstand the power rating of the appliances connected in the extension lead.FUNCTION - The USB ports in the power extension lead charge the mobile phones and other appliances quicker than the normal socket outlets. I have been using this extension lead to charge my mobile phones, cameras, and other battery chargers. It has not caused me any issues on the USB ports. The socket outlets also spaced wide enough to plug in multiple plus sides by side without touching each other. This normally would become an issue when using a Mac Book charger because of the size of plug the Mac Book comes with during the packaging. Therefore, no problem plugging multiple plugs with big heads.RECOMMENDATION - This power extension leads for indoor use especially in the work station, where multiple sockets outlets are required for works PCs, laptops and phones. This can also be used in the living room where there is a need for multiple socket outlets for TV, DVD, Speakers, Phones and other electrical appliances. It is lightweight yet solid with a nice smooth, streamlined finish. I was impressed by the build quality, especially at such a reasonable price. It is actually rather discrete sitting beneath my desk, with a good length lead and also four screw mounting holes on the underside so I am now thinking of mounting on the inside of my desk to lift it off the floor completely.The socket positioning is well thought out, with the sockets facing each other 4 a side, and good spacing between each socket so there are no concerns with some of the more chunky plugs having enough space to be plugged in side by side. The three USB sockets available down the centre of the unit are really useful and again in a good position for easy access, not getting tangled or in the way of the main sockets.Overall I am really pleased with this extension lead, it is absolutely fit for purpose and great value for money as well. It is fantastic that it comes with 8 sockets and 3 USB ports. It includes a red light to tell you when it is on, and it has a button to switch it off completely. I personally like that (and that’s one of the reasons to choose this one) because it saves energy, and when I stop using everything in the evening, I don’t have to unplug anything (which I used to have to, because the wall socket is behind my desk). I bought it to use in my home office area, I plug my computer, printer, a lamp, and I can put the phone charger too. It is quite stylish, and because it is flat, it can be hidden easily. It also has 4 pre drilled holes below, so it can be attached to the wall or side of the desk. The cable has a good length (more than 2 metres). The sockets fit well and easily, and they are firm.
