Can the power supply be turned off with the potentiometer?** A: Yes. It turns completely off with a click. **Q: what maximum current it can provide at lowest volatge 3V?** A: I'm not sure the max on the current. We are using it at 3.6V around 2 amps. It is rated at 5A but we have not loaded it to that level. Note: We were not able to adjust it below 3.6V. I have 3 of them and none would go below 3.6V. That was okay for our application and they seem to be stable. **Q: Is the connector negative or positive tip?** A: The center conductor is positive. The outer shell is negative. The only downside is the way it does things internally means the voltage is never the desired voltage when you plug it in (not okay), or immediately after you unplug it (this is okay). Basically, never leave your devices plugged in to this PSU. Always plug in the PSU and wait for the voltage to stabilize first.
