I think its just the sellers camera or photo settings because ive made several purchases and all the colors seemed darker or not as vibrant as the pics. Dont get me wrong, the colors are rich and the quality is great if you want slightly harder soft pastels. I love them and thats why i have gotten several sets this far. If your shopping soft pastels, i recommend these moderate price sets. I purchased a cheap set with a large amount of colors and they were so bad that i gave them away since id already tried them extensively in hopes of finding quality in thier quantity.

If your shopping soft pastels, i recommend these moderate price sets.
