## Description

Product Description A sleek, bright take on the classic Kershaw Leek, this orange Leek gives the everyday carry a bold look that’s easy to spot and hard to lose. The drop point blade design is made from high-performance Sandvik 14C28N steel, with a bead-blasted finish. Paired with a contoured orange anodized aluminum handle that provides a secure, comfortable grip. Designed for safety, this EDC has a dual locking system – a frame lock that secures the blade while open and a tip-lock slider that keeps it closed when folded. Reversible pocketclip supports right-handed use in either tip-up or tip-down position. Built for those who value both form and function, the Kershaw Leek is a versatile and reliable EDC knife. From the Manufacturer Looking for a Leek that won't get lost in the grass? Take a look at our orange Leek. The brilliant orange of the anodized-aluminum handle is a fade-resistant, scratch-resistant dye that's permanently bonded to the aluminum—so it looks good now and will continue to look good later. The business end of the knife is a task-ready 3-inch blade of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, a steel designed in a partnership between Kershaw and Sandvik. This high-performance steel enables us to make the Leeks blade razor sharp out of the box and helps it hold that edge, too. The modified drop-point blade shape makes it a good slicing knife, while the slim tip gives it excellent piercing and detail work capabilities. Whether you're left-handed or right-handed, its easy to open your orange Leek with Speed Safe assisted opening. A simple pull back on the ambidextrous flipper blade protrusion or push outward on the thumb stud and the Leeks blade is ready to go to work. For safety, a locking liner keeps the blade locked open during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks it closed when folded. The pocket clip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard. The orange Leek is a slim, easy-to-carry design that gives you plenty of cutting versatility—and good looks. Made In The USA. Flipper, Speed Safe, Liner Lock, Reversible.

Review: Thin, light, razor sharp. An awesome little knife - The best pocket knife I've ever owned. Comes razor sharp and I keep it that way with a few strokes on a SharpNEasy 336C, which is cool because the course side is ceramic rods not carbon blades, which I find destroy a cutting edge rather than sharpen it. The clip on the Kershaw is tight and holds the knife securely in place. I have no fear that it will accidentally fall off. The opening mechanism is phenomenal, like a switch blade. And the liner lock is easy to manipulate one handed. The only "rub" I have is that the knife comes with the clip attached at the blade end rather than the butt end, which is counter-intuitive. When you withdraw the knife from your pocket by the butt your fingers are automatically in the correct position to open the blade and use it, when it's attached to the blade end you have to turn the knife around before you can open it. It doesn't make any sense, and with the tiny star drive screws they use I had to stop by my local garage the day I got the knife and ask the mechanic if he had the right size bit. I have a LOT of tools, but I don't have that. Yet. I plan on buying more of these little beauties as Christmas gifts and I'm gonna turn the clip around before I wrap them!
Review: Well-made and very sharp out of the box - I needed a replacement for my generic Chinese Bass Pro folder and my Chinese-made Kershaw Select-Fire. I wanted something relatively small, lightweight and preferably with assisted opening that was legal to carry in both Michigan and Canada. My godfather has a Kershaw Chive. the smaller version of this knife, and I really liked the quality and function of it. I ordered the Leek in my favourite colour and don't regret it one bit. The blade was near razor sharp out of the box, which is always nice. The first thing I noticed was how well fit and finished the knife was. The finish on the handle scaled is a beautiful smooth anodize, a little darker than it shows in the pictures on desertcart. The blade is, as I said, very sharp and smooth with no imperfections to be found. The Bass Pro and Select-Fire knives I mentioned before had rough edges and finishes and weren't as polished as this. I have nothing against Chinese knives, but the quality difference between them and this American-made piece is very apparent. Best of all, the "Speed Safe" mechanism is reliable and opens very quickly. There's a convenient little lock on the backside to prevent the blade from opening in your pocket, and by its design it's legal in Canada. It's no doubt the best assisted-opening system I've ever used. Overall I love the Leek, it's perfect for what I need (a light modest-sized everyday carry knife) and by its reputation I have no doubt it'll hold up well over the years.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: how's the quality of the knife ? I read the review some very negative ? How long it can last ?**
A: Mine fell out of my pocket after I snagged my jacket in the barnyard on a rainy day. I saw a flash of metal, but didn't think about it until three days later I realized it must have been my poor lost knife and I dug it up from of a mixture of manure, dirt, and hay after it had been completely buried by livestock and me walking on it for days. It was utterly disgusting, but after an initial dunk in a bucket to get the worst of it off, then a good cleaning, it's back to working beautifully, now that I finally got all the grit out of the mechanism. I've had it for years before that, and it's still going strong afterwards.

**Q: For resharpening purposes, what is the blade angle? 20°? 18°??**
A: I use the standard 20, but it is a fine edge so u can easily make angle what ever degree u want to in Minutes. As for me I pick my angle that best suits my needs for what I'm using the knife for like rope or wood so the edge last longer. For everyday pocket knife I use 20

**Q: I heard that the bead blast finish is more likely to get rust. Does anyone(longtime owner) seem to be facing problems with rust on the blade?**
A: Maybe they've changed the steel recently. I've had mine for a few months now and carried it in my pocket now that it's getting warm and sweat has made my blade rust profusely. I'm pretty unhappy.

**Q: Is the handle 410 stainless steel or 6160 aluminium**
A: Pretty sure it's 6160. I have had my leek for over 5 years, still tight butthole after putting it through rough everyday use. Quality all the way.
