The clamp bodies are made from thick ABS plastic and held together with metal pins. The locking lever and release button are also made from ABS. The two large internal rubber pads are what grip and hold the clamps to the Olympic collars on the barbell or dumbbell. I really like these Clout quick-release clamps and prefer them to the spring clamps and locking training collars I used for years. They fit perfectly on the 50mm [2"] diameter Olympic ends on my barbell, tricep bar, hex bar and EZ-curl bar with no slipping during use. So far I haven’t had any issues with the Clout clamps coming loose on any of my bars. I liked them so much that I bought three more pairs to use on all of my bars. ### ⭐ Disappointment in Clout Fitness *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 29, 2020* I bought a pair of the Heavy Duty PRO version back in April 2019 and I liked them a lot. I have since purchased another barbell so I wanted another pair. I went to my previous order to order another set of collars. Unknowing to me, instead of sending me to a page for an item is is no longer available it redirected me to this much more inferior product (at a higher price point too!). I ordered the item and did not realize the mistake until I opened the packaging. These feel like a cheap knockoff version of the ones I originally ordered but somehow cost a couple bucks more. I feel like I was tricked into buying a poor quality item but I guess that is all Clout sells now. I will not buy from this brand again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Same quality as in big gyms *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2020* I dont think you can beat these for the price. They are high quality, just as good as ones I have used in big name gyms. They feel nice and durable, they are simple to lock and they give a click once they are fully locked which I like. They have thick rubber grips on the inside to help hold them in place and not move, I took the setup I have in the picture and stood it straight up and the plate didn't budge so it's a strong hold. You can lock and unlock them easily with one hand like they say, and I would also say I think they look cool.
