This charger is plug and forget . **Q: Can this charger be used when battery is not connected to the vehicle** A: I have successfully used this to charge the battery both when it has been fully disconnected from the car and also while it is in place and connected. It comes with clips to attach to the terminals for a temporary connection and also a cable that you can permanently connect to the battery to make it very quick and simply to connect the charger for a top-up. I've been very happy with this and would absolutely recommend it.
