Most of these reivewers gave the sock a five star rating. I think I did see a four star. This makes it confusing for those of us who are trying to get real unbiased opinions about any product. Seems to be a common practice nowadays. Maybe we can take the reviews that are missing the disclaimer and judge from that.I feel no measurable difference with or without the sock. Still have the same plantar faciitis pain as I had before when I wake in morning. Doesn't seem to work for me. I walk a lot for exercise, have bought proper shoes for that, but somehow, either I overexercised and damaged something or I'm not sure what is going on. The two shoes I purchased to exercise had helped with the pain, hurt, achy, stress on my feet, so I'm inclined to think I've overwalked my feet and maybe did not proper stretches before and after walking, etc.So, my left foot which I tend to put put the most weight on such as I tend to lean on my left leg when standing, etc. has been hurting a lot on the heel area and that's when I started to research about the pain and plantar fasciitis. Desperate for more relief, I came here searching for socks, heel inserts, etc. anything and everything that I can start using more to alleviate, reduce, and possibly get rid of the pain I'm feeling. Both feet hurt, but my left heel hurts a LOT more!I have used compression socks many times but not while I go exercise--perhaps I should have. So, I came across this one and for the price, I decided to try despite some of the reviews.I just got it today, opened the envelope, and when I sat down, I pulled off my Thorlo socks and slipped these on. I normally wear small, but bought a medium as one review said the compression was too strong and the person bought a L and had issues. I decided to buy one size larger.I thought the heel was padded, but it is not. However, I immediately started feeling the compression and my feet have started to feel some relief. Seriously!The size I chose was perfect for me! If I had picked small, I would probably have to exchange it.I'm wearing my Skechers Performance Women's Go Walk 2 and put it on and it fits perfectly. Then, I remove the shoes and put over the sleeves my Thorlo Women's Experia Micro-Mini Crew Sock, Blue Aster because of the cushion the socks provide. It feels GREAT!I put back the Skechers and it still fits, a bit tight, but it does. I can walk like that, but I'm going to put my feet up and enjoy the compression.I'm going to update it if anything changes or I don't feel any relief after a while.When I get back to walking, after this week, I will be wearing this with my shoes and see if this alone is enough or I need another socks for padding.I'll update if anything changes. It started when I was teaching full time and standing on concrete floors for the majority of the day. I have a new job that doesn't require me to stand as much & I'm lucky that it has gotten better, but it still flares up whenever I have been standing on my feet for excessive amounts of time. I have tried gel inserts, the boot, and arch supports, but this is my first time trying compression socks. They are thick & snug and they do offer much more support than wearing regular socks. I ordered the L/XL size and they are a little tight on the top that goes over the ankle. Other than that, they fit well and are very comfortable. Before trying this, I had most success with the arch supports. I would say that these socks are on par with that. I can't stand to wear the boot! The gel inserts are okay, but they are expensive and they don't work in all of my shoes. These socks are great for wearing around the house when I would normally be barefoot. It says that these can be worn under your regular socks, but I found that my socks are pretty thin & didn't fit very well over them.*I received these from Veluxio for the purpose of trying out & reviewing.
