Each pole had a 5 3/4" welded base plate with holes that allow you to mount the pole to wood decks or poured patios. Poles are not 9.6 feet tall (114 inches) and made of 1 3/4 inch steel tubing with a clip on the top of the pole to secure the string lights and screening. - WORKS WITH UP TO 30FOOT SPAN OF LIGHTS - COnnect the lights from a pole to another pole, a nearby tree or other structure to add beautiful lighting to any area. - EASY AND SIMPLE INSTALLATION - If you can use a drill, you can install this! Can be attached to wooden decks usinf 3 3/8" lag screws. Can be secured to concrete patios using 3 3/8" wedge anchors. Not only does it look great, the pole feels so smooth and the finish was really nice. Better than expected and the perfect addition to my outdoor living space. 2 thumbs up! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not bad, but not great. *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2020* Ordered 6 at one time and they came in four different shipments apparently from two or three different providers even though they were in stock and supposed to be delivered on the same day.Two were missing end caps, which Amazon did nothing to replace but one of the providers stepped up to replace when I asked them directly.The top half of poles don't have the holes always aligned properly, where it connects to bottom, so I'll have to redrill two of them.Poles are VERY top heavy due to height so you really need to secure them well and I would not recommend hanging more than one string of lights per pole. I secured them in dirt alone first, forget it. You need concrete and if screwing into a deck or patio, go with longest screws you can.Packaging was crap, no wonder two caps fell out.Carabineer was useless. I replaced them all with better ones.Will see how long they last.I do like that they are easy to take down if winds get to be high. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this light pole! *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2020* I love this pole - the finish is matte, which means it doesn't show any dirt or other issues.
