It's thin enough to slice efficiently, but still thick enough to inspire confidence with slightly heavier work, if necessary (cardboard cutting, shaving wood, etc). The sheath allows for both vertical and horizontal carry, and seems sturdy enough (Kydex). It's quickly become my favorite fishing knife, and as such, gets flying colors from me. As for materials, the -10 holds up well (easy to clean) and CPM S90V is an excellent stainless steel for this application. It holds an edge well enough that a strop on days of heavy use is all that it requires, and I've had no rust form on occasions when it has come in contact with salt water for a few minutes (I logically wipe and dry it soon after). The handle is clearly intended for easy of use when used for food prep (multiple holding options), and as such, is not intended for bushcraft. But, you do get what you pay for and this is one great knife. Razor sharp out of the box, great design and a very good sheath. Excellent steel and handle material that fits the hand very well. I've only used it for fishing but I have no doubts that it would make an excellent camp knife as well.
