I live in an area where we need a septic system and have to be careful about how much you should put down your drain. I did not want to place wet items in my garbage cans as had an out growth of fruit flies. This ceramic jar works great and have plastic baggies that line it so easy to despose of all wet garbage items.It looks nice sitting on my counter by the sink as it blends in well with all my colors in the kitchen. I was pleased to find this on Amazon.com and a reasonable price of $34.99. I love the Terracotta ceramic made by Cedar Grove.
