I followed instructions for making a burger, the first batch was quite dry, almost like eating a bean burger. Since the package cost $26. there was no question it was going to be used.The manufacturer made 2 'optional' add-ins, but my very strong suggestion is that if you can eat onion, that you grate a good 1/3 to 1/2 cup of grated onion into the mix, use hot water, I also added some Worcestershire, but tamari or low sodium soy sauce would add some umami. The onion add a needed moistness that the cooked mix sorely needs.I made burgers again, they were a hit...served on buns, w mayo, sauces, optional greens etc.Vejje mixes are a good option for those who need to avoid meat. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for "boca / morningstar" style veggie burgers *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2021* This is a great value, each pack makes quite a bit.. out of one pack i made 4 large patties (1/3lb at least).. and had enough left over for a "meat" sauce for spaghetti for 4 people. I added and egg for some extra binding but not sure if it needed it. the burgers held together well! I've tried making this same thing from scratch with the tvp and mushroom powder and everything.. and those would not hold together. these were great! I would suggest forming patties, put them on wax paper and freeze for 15 mins.. or just freeze until your ready to use. They had the consistency of mud, but once cooked they were DELICIOUS! My husband and I actually liked them better than the cheap hamburger meat we bought at the store this week (COVID shortages) I added GoVeggie vegan cheese to the burgers which worked out really well.
