Here's a comparison to everything I've tried coupled with my opinions. Following that I'll give a pros and cons. Skip to the bottom section if you just want my take on this bag, which I like a lot.-Barbarians EDC MOLLE Sling - Ordered 1, arrived splitting at seams. Return, re-order, arrived damaged. Time for new brand.-Red Rock Outdoor Gear Rover Sling - Seemed sturdy though it had a MOLLE length on the sling strap come right off without provocation. The rest of it held up fine, it was just kind of squat and fat and deep and I wanted something a little taller, narrower, and contained. Later sold as used.-Red Rock Outdoor Gear Large Rover Sling - Loved the profile of the bag, held up beautifully, and I still have it. But still too deep and too wide for my personal preferences.-Oakley Extractor - Love the style, love the look (minus the fat 'O' on the front), and the storage space with hook and loop is great. Strap was too narrow for me, bag was too wide, and it doesn't stand up on it's bottom; needs to be laid on its back. Another issue is the MOLLE straps have two rows of vertical stitching for each division. Second stitch makes it less than 1.5 inches wide meaning most MOLLE gear can't lace through. I trimmed those stitching to attach some pouches and realized it was just an impractical bag for me on all fronts except internal storage compartments.-Condor MOLLE Hydration Pouch - Tried to build a custom MOLLE bag of sorts. This ended up being super heavy and there was no structural support so it wouldn't stand on its own.-PlasMaller Tactical Waist Pack - This bag hit everything on my list except for 1) pocket/zipper style makes access to contents difficult and 2) crazy small. I needed at least 5 inches tall and 8.25 long to hold a journal and this bag was about 4 inches tall or something.And so I came across this bag and the reviews were good so I went for it. So far, this has been the most effective bag of the lot. I did, however, augment the strap significantly to make it more functional.First off, yeah, you get what you pay for more or less. It's a super pliable nylon that's not military grade but higher denier nylons don't flex much at all and are uncomfortable. This thing being made from regular backpack material is a win for me. I especially love the orange lining just for the pop and ease of visibility of contents.It also fits a good deal of items in a few separated pouches rather than one big dump bucket. Since it's not a rigid material, filling it makes it bulge so I cut the plastic D-rings off the front and put on some 1 inch strap keepers and ran a compression strap with pinch buckle at the top. Removing the D-rings isn't necessary to fit a compression strap, but I wanted to also mount a multi-tool so, meh. I like to carry a couple superfluous things and this bag accommodates that desire.Overall personal pros:-Not very or overly militaristic-Lots of space and organization-Not too tall at about 6 inches-Orange lining is neat-Affordable and functionalBut I ran into a few key issues.The first issue I fixed by essentially destroying the bag. Straight straps do not make for a good cross-body fit. The base needs to be offset either left or right depending upon wearing preference. Great bags have modular mounting points. This bag has straight straps, so wearing it cross-body means the lower flap pulls inward at a right angle and the bag tries to sit perpendicular to your body rather than flush. It's taller than it is deep, so this extends your silhouette and also means the bag gets caught on stuff. The strap is also a bit to pliable which, unlike my thoughts on the bag material, I find this problematic. SO - I cut the straps off, stitched down their excess, and stitched on an additional 1.5 inch webbing through the existing strap D-ring adjuster things. I then attached a modified Hazard 4 shoulder strap with just 1.5 inch slip fittings - no other stitching - and it sits flush on my back.I'm also not thrilled with the soft, breathable athletic padding material that's on the back of the bag. It adds a bit too much dimension for me and I don't really needs that much interference for comfort if I'm not carrying more than 20 pounds. Wold rather do without but that's not really something I can fix without having to re-stitch the entire bag and I'm not about that right now.It's also just too deep for me. I'd rather have the two pockets on the front offset to either side of the main body for one long, shallow bag and then have the front be open MOLLE webbing or a big hook-and-loop field; I had to sew on my own hook-and-loop in a spot that seems weird to leave empty. But, like I wrote previously, this is the best bag I've come by to fit my interests.Overall personal cons:-Straight straps do not fit cross-body effectively-Orange stitching can be seen along outside seems when bag is filled-Blank field over Fitdom logo? Add hook-and-loop, plz-Wings/flaps where straps connect on either side are wasted space so...-Front pockets should go on either side of bag to minimize depth and decrease silhouette-Comfort padding is a bulky and unnecessary luxuryBut I like it and it works for now until I guess I finally just make my own bag since that's a thing I can do but have never done and also know will cost a lot and take a long time and I'd rather just buy half a dozen things for 15 or 20 each until then because I love failure?Ah well, hopefully this novel helps someone else looking for a bag similar to the way I'm looking. I'm currently waiting on a custom order from a company called BDS tactical who make tactical fanny packs, among other things. I bought this to change out my old SigSauer ammo bag that I use as an EDC. The bag looks sick AF when wearing it. The straps are oversized which makes it great for around the sholder carry. The Zippers are heavy duty you can hold abit more then what I showed in the pic in this post. I m a daily rider so packing light is Key for my life style. The bag fits great on the front forks of my bike nothing comes out or undone 100% stays put at 120mph. I live in Vegas so we will see what the sun will do to it. Buy this bag. I ordered it a couple of months ago but, I have not had the opportunity to use it until today, me and my family decided to go to Great America’s Frightfest. We all had onesies on (don’t judge) and I thought it would be great to put all of my pocket stuff in. Long story short...the first time I put it on and fastened it the clip on the fastener snapped off. I would have contacted the seller first to see if they would correct it before I gave them a 1-star review but, there is no contact info for the seller that I can find...thus the bad review.UPDATE: I changed my review to 4-stars, the only reason I did not give 5 is because the clip did break. However, I went online directly with the company and sent them pictures of the problem. Within two days they contacted me to credit my account for my purchase.
