There was one extractor where the machining of the threads seemed very rough but I don't know if that will affect the performance of that extractor or not. The set worked as easily as you could wish. The directions on the back of the size chart are straightforward and clear. The extractors seem to be very solid, if not over-built, which is perfect. As you'll note, these are wedge-shaped (tapered) to jam the extractor into the bolt to grip it. Work slowly; i.e., start with a socket or regular wrench to grip and turn the extractor counter-clockwise after it's seated to remove the bolt. DON'T use a cordless drill to speed up the process; it will likely chew things up, making it worse (this is true with any extractor). These are also referred to as "easy-outs"; if used properly, they can save the day. These DO NOT work well with plastic pipe fittings, as they tend to expand the threads of the fitting, jamming it in even tighter. As Robert George mentions, don't drill the hole bigger than one-half (1/2) the diameter of the bolt you're trying to remove, as that will expand the metal threads to jam it in even tighter. On the smaller ones, you may need a sliding T-handle wrench (not included with this set) to grip the extractor to turn it. You can buy those separately (0-1/4" opening and 1/4"-1/2" opening), or you may already have them if you own a tap and die (thread-cutting) set. **Q: Does it include a 25/32** A: Yes it does. It has all sizes from 1/8" through 7/8" in 1/32" increments. **Q: Is that 3/8" drive on the back of these?** A: These extractors do not have a 3/8" drive in the back of them. Instead, they have a Hew-head and are designed to be used with either a 1/2," 5/8", 3/4", 7/8" or 1" socket or spanner (depending on screw size being extracted) to drive them. **Q: I have a 5 mil recessed hex bolt in a brake caliper that is stripped out. Highly recommended, this is some quality stuff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent product *by R***Y on April 14, 2011* I had a stripped recessed bolt (allen key type) with a good amount of rust in my bicycle. I went to Sears and could find nothing that would work, most extraction kits require a drill, which would not fit into the tight spot I needed. I ordered these, and I took out the bolt in 5 minutes. A truly fantastic product. Simple, yet extremely effective. Each piece is ~1 inch long, and you can crank it with a standard ratchet wrench or crescent wrench (the lower sizes are sized for a 13 mm). This allows fitting into small places. Each piece is clearly well made with an aggressive reverse thread. Find the piece that fits into the bolt requiring extraction, give it a slight tap into place, and manually crank with a wrench. For stripped external heads you will need to drill a hole into the bolt first.
