Review: Perfect shielding tape for restoring my old Telecaster - I used this copper foil tape while rebuilding a 2005 Fender Highway One Telecaster that I recently brought back to life. Before installing new electronics (pots, switch, and a set of Fender Texas Special pickups), I wanted proper shielding — and this tape worked flawlessly. What I liked: The adhesive is truly conductive Sticks extremely well to wood cavities Easy to cut, shape, and layer Soldering to it is clean and reliable Provides excellent EMI shielding for single-coil pickups My old relic’d Tele is now quiet, tight, and professionally shielded. Great product — absolutely worth it for any guitar restoration or upgrade.

It works a lot better than the other copper tape brands that I had tried. It was packaged with a lot of care because it came in its own box and also had some plastic wrap around the entire roll. So I will definitely be ordering this again if I need any more. I started with my Peavey strat knockoff which is a guitar that really has some amazing tones for the price. Next I will be using the rest for the cavities of a Les Paul I have. Be sure to make a grounding wire connection to the shielding tape before you put your guitar back together.
