The wood is approx. ¼” thick with the bottom layer of the shield and sword handle painted watermelon pink and the sword and swirl on the shield painted ballerina pink. The shield rim is painted teal. There are 2 layers of wood on the shield, the swirl and rim sit on top of the shield back and there are straps on the back for the child to wear over their arm. The sword is also 2 layers of wood for the blade with another layer for the hilt to add details. They are very lightweight with both weighing approx. 1-1/2 lb. Sized to fit a child or petite adult.
