I replaced all of my old hinges with them, very happy with the results. The pins are removeable, those saying that they aren't are incorrect. They are harder to remove but I have attached a photo proving that they can be removed. I am hoping this will end the debate on this issue. The easiest way to remove the pins is to attach them to the jamb upside down and hammer the bottom with a Phillips head screwdriver. Two of the hinge boxes did not contain screws so I was 18 short, but I was able to pick up replacements at Home Depot for under $5 - I did not try to contact the seller since my schedule was tight.
