**Q: Can you tell me If it can be used outside in cold weather?**
A: The two I own are inside.   Another review says they use them outside.   I had one fail after like 8 years.  Very dependable.

**Q: Can you tell me how to use the hold function. It comes with no instruction. I can't even tell if I was sent the correct model.**
A: Hello Shine - The hold-open function of the door closer is unfortunately not selectable, they are either sold as hold-open or non-hold-open versions. When the door is opened to 90-105 degrees (depending on installation and setup) the door will just remain open until you pull on the door to initiate the closing function.

Trying to adjust for the right closing speed was nearly impossible at first. Now after a few months of use, it is impossible.Depending on exactly how far the door is open when you let it go to close automatically - the door *might* close... or it might close 99% - but not latch shut. So you have to stand there and wait to see if the door closed completely. This pretty much defeats the whole purpose of buying an automatic door closer.

Easy installation, I got the one with the hold open option and love it. Door stays open when you want and a gentle touch starts it closing. The closing speed is adjustable as well
