I'm thrilled with the features of this tripod; I had been researching for days to decide what I should buy. Although I started out with a budget half the cost of what this tripod costs, I think it is worth it. In addition, it arrived sooner than expected.

I'm only a hobbyist when it comes to photography, but when it comes to buying a bulky and relatively universal tool like a tripod, I decided it would probably be best to get a nice one right off the bat, rather than settle for a cheap one that I might have to discard later.What made me choose this one was its maximum standing height; I read somewhere that it's a good idea to have a tripod that can stand as tall as you, for comfort reasons. I'm 6'3", so that limited my options...Anyway, I've used this tripod a few times now, and I'm pretty satisfied. It has a very wide height range; I've used it fully standing, and also crouching down for low angle shots. You can also take the legs off to use as a monopod, and for whatever amusing reason Benro also provides a wooden knob that is explicitly so you convert one of the legs into a walking stick. It also comes with not one, but two carrying bags; one that's thicker and furnished with a (removable) shoulder strap, handle and pockets, and another more basic drawstring bag.Benro also sells what looks to be all manner of replacement parts, from bases to columns, which I really like to see.The included V1E ballhead seems good. It has a level on it and friction control, though I honestly had a hard time understanding how the friction control knob works. I thought I understood it, but it actually has two different parts that adjust independently, and I don't really get how they interact... Anyway, I would suggest picking up a spare quick-release plate. The whole tripod is actually useless without a plate, so it's a good idea to keep a spare.Edit 8/3/2021**So two things. First, the ballhead tightening dial's measuring ring has come loose. Which is to say, it spins on its own, independent of the dial. Pretty sure there's glue or something that was holding it still and has since come loose.The other thing is that at some point, the ballhead's level fell out. I have no idea how, but I noticed last night that it was simply gone. I don't really use a physical level much, prefer the camera sensor. But this sort of middling build quality isn't what I like to see.These are both issues specific to the ballhead, so maybe Benro just skimped on the quality there. Either way, it's not something I like to see on a tripod I paid $400 for.

I was about to buy a tripod for close to $ 400.00 + $ 60.00 for metal spikes, + 90.00 for a short column + + +.The difference in weight was a few ounces.The quality seems fine, everything feel great, the head hold firm. You cannot beat it for the money. 5 Stars.

The ball head allows smooth adjustments for fine aiming. Pan is not slippery. Fit and finish are clean. Quick detatch feature isn't as quick as I expected, but is secure and eases mounting to camera. The switch from tripod to monopod was easy, adding versatility. Tripod and removable/reversible center extend quite high. The whole system is very stable and vibration quiets quickly with my 500mm zoom. Very pleased with this.

The thumb dial that allows the ball head friction control knob to be adjusted was stuck. I tried using a quarter to turn it like a screw as there is a large indentation presumably for such a purpose, but that didn't work. The dial wouldn't budge. As such, I couldn't turn the control knob to loosen the ball head. Totally useless. Now I have to go and look for another tripod as I don't care to take my chances on a replacement.

After purchasing a cheap tripod recently that I was very unhappy with, I decided to spend my hard earned money on a good tripod and bought the Benro Travel Angel 2. I am blown away with the quality of this tripod! It is worth every penny. I will use this tripod for many years to come. If you’re looking for a good travel tripod, look no further.

This thing is awesome. included spiked feet and carbon fiber that isn't going to set you back the price of a car. I use it all the time when I need to use a tri pod.

Ce produit présente bien à sa sortie d'emballage: sac de transport de bonne finition avec poches et accessoires du trepied, housse couleur bleu électrique que la marque a voulu apporter en assortiment aux couleurs du trepied... du style et de l'emballage on a compris ok.Le trepied: paraît de bonne finition, noir mat et finition bleu anodisé... mais lorsque l'on y regarde de plus pret pas si qualitatif que ca, ca fait trop léger, lorsque j'ai placé mon sac sur le crochet (6kg) pour alourdir la tenue et sans meme installer mon reflex dessus les pieds commencés à montrer nettement leurs faiblesse! Super pour un poids promis à 10kg.Et sa pratique est d'un compliqué! Replié à l'envers chaque pieds, et inverser le cyclindre de la rotule (en prenant soin de bien dévisser le crochet d'attache poids, de le revisser après inversement) puis revisser la rotule pour pouvoir la caler entre chaque pieds repliés afin de le rentrer dans le sac!! Rien que ca! sinon le serrage de la colonne centrale dépasse et le sac ne ferme pas. Pas possible à chaque sortie! Les pics pour les pieds, il faut dévisser les embouts caoutchouc pour visser les pics tout terrain.. super, le tout en un aurait été intéressant. Le monopod est un des pieds à dévisser et à assembler avec la colonne centrale en dévissant toujours la rotule et le crochet de poids... Quel perte de temps!! Impraticable en action.Rien à dire par contre pour la rotule B1 tres fluide, qualitative elle pour le coup, meme si parfois de trés légères imprécisions sont à noter lors des serrages. À voir dans le temps.Bilan: Malgre un prix intéressant et les avis positifs lus sur le net dans cette gamme, il ne s'avère vraiment pas pratique sur tout point, la qualite dans le temps ne tiendra pas ca se ressent (à voir pour la rotule qui semble bien mieux que son trépied), la stabilité est trahie par les 3 sections des pieds c'est évident, 2 sections plus rigides donc plus stable. Je ne suis pas convaincu par le serrage vissé, où alors celui la n'est pas le meilleur par rapport aux autres marques, en tout cas je préfère le serrage clapet.Dommage ca semblait bien fini et stylé en photo mais la réalité est tout autre... comme le sont bien souvent les produits chinois en meme temps.Je conseille malgré tout la rotule B1 qui semble trés bien ce qui vaut une troisième étoile à cet ensemble.

De tout mes équipements photos, choisir le bon trépied a été la tâche la plus difficile. J'avais besoin d'un trépied ultra léger, et très très compact pour pouvoir faire de longue randonnée, ou de l'apporter avec moi lors de mes balades à moto. Et bien je suis extrêmement content de mon choix, il est au-delà de mes attentes. Encore mieux que ce que les descriptions en disais de bon. Je mesure 5'7" et sans avoir à utiliser l'extension, mon appareil photo arrive juste à la bonne hauteur. Il est juste parfait.Je le recommande à ceux qui veulent un trépied très léger, très compact, très agréable à manipuler.

A première vue, le tripod semblait parfait,.. malgré un prix proche de 330€Après une longue attente, (l'article étant souvent hors stock) je reçois mon tripod.Rien à dire niveau packaging et accessois, ca semble être de la qualité.J'essaye donc d'ouvrir le tripod et là,.. première utilisation, une partie du pied tombe ! Le problème vient en fait du système même des visses à visser et dévisser pour étendre le tripod. Il n'y a malheureusement pas de "clapet d'arrêt"Résultats, dès qu'on dévisse un peu trop, la partie extensible se désolidarise complètement du reste du tripod.C'est le même problème si on veut dévisser toutes les "visses" d'une jambes en une fois pour dérouler le tripod. C'est alors toutes la jambes en elle-même qui se détache !Alors il y a certainement une certain dextérité à avoir et avec l'habitude on s'en sort certainement. J'ai cependant essayé à plusieurs reprises et j'ai à chaque fois chipoté pendant de très très nombreuses minutes pour arriver à déplier correctement le tripod. Etant cependant censé être unLa rotule est cependant superbe ! Rien à redire de ce côté là.Qui plus est, je ne trouve pas que le prix est justifié. Il y a de nombreuses parties en plastique qui n'ont pas l'air très solides.J'ai entre temps eu l'occasion de tester d'autres marques moins chères que je recommande. Ces modèles ont à chaque fois ce fameux "clapet d'arrêt" qui nous évite de dévisser trop les parties extensibles.- Vangard VEO2 235CB et VEO2 265CB Super qualité, presque aucune parties en plastique,.. (190€/225€)Ou- Le Manfrotto Befree Advanced (MKBFRTC4-BH) . Un peu plus de parties en plastique mais super qualité. (250€)J'hésite maintenant entre ces modèles !

I researched available tripods intensively before choosing this. The main manufacturers have comprehensive ranges on offer but I couldn't find a single shop which stocked more than two or three manufacturers products. I saw Benro products on display at a photo show in Preston and spoke to the rep who I found to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I also looked at a couple of detailed reviews on DPreview, a couple in photo magazines, and read other buyers product reviews. I was happy to pay more to get a really good tripod as I felt it was the sort of thing you don't buy too often. Better to buy one good one. As with many things, tripods are a compromise - weight vs stability, height vs stability, portability, size etc. You can't have it all! I opted for this because:a) it has four leg sections and is reverse folding - therefore about 18" folded length (not bad) and more stable than 5 section legs.b) the leg diameter of the top leg is thicker than some lighter weight tripods, giving better stabilityc) the head has one combined aduster for ball friction and lockingd) carbon fibre legs for lightest weighte) one leg removable to use as a monopodI am extremely happy with my purchase. Quality is first class - streets ahead of any Manfrotto I saw in the shops. Weight is 1.8 kg - fine for carrying around without being so light it gets blown around. Carrying case excellent quality. Folds to 18" length and not too bulky. Very rigid and stable. Highly recommend it.

It has become my favourite tripod, used the monopod the other day and it’s super easy to switch it into it. Light, sturdy, happy customer
