## Questions & Answers

**Q: In the folded position(center and legs up) what is the length on fta18cv0?**
A: 17.3 inches

**Q: will this hold Nikon D750 with 24-120 lens ?**
A: Yes that will work, it can hold 17.6 lbs.

**Q: When legs folded in reverse for FTA28cv1. what is the length of item?**
A: The legs on the Benro do not fold in reverse!
The closed length of the tripod with the head removed is 21 inches.
I replaced the included head with an Acratech GP-SS bullhead.
The Acratec is very compact, strong and far more elegant in use than the supplied Benro.

If I remove the head I can carry the tripod in a carry-on sized suitcase. The head I simply fold in with my clothing.
I am a working professional. I own several Gitzos and Really Right Stuff heads.
They've stood up for decades so I cannot fault them.
We'll see how this Benro stands up to professional location work a few years down the road.
So far so good though after a year of steady travel and use.
The leg locks stand out for me. They are smooth in operation and easily locked down.

And finally, the downside of the reverse fold is that it typically confines you the supplied head.
That for me is a dealbreaker as I want the head of my choice on top of the legs.

**Q: Does this come with the short column?**
A: Yes it does, best tripod I have owned yet. I am 6'3 and it is the perfect height and weight.

    Great Tripod!

I'm thrilled with the features of this tripod; I had been researching for days to decide what I should buy. Although I started out with a budget half the cost of what this tripod costs, I think it is worth it. In addition, it arrived sooner than expected.

    Ballhead has questionable build quality.

*by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2020*

I'm only a hobbyist when it comes to photography, but when it comes to buying a bulky and relatively universal tool like a tripod, I decided it would probably be best to get a nice one right off the bat, rather than settle for a cheap one that I might have to discard later. What made me choose this one was its maximum standing height; I read somewhere that it's a good idea to have a tripod that can stand as tall as you, for comfort reasons. I'm 6'3", so that limited my options...Anyway, I've used this tripod a few times now, and I'm pretty satisfied. It has a very wide height range; I've used it fully standing, and also crouching down for low angle shots. You can also take the legs off to use as a monopod, and for whatever amusing reason Benro also provides a wooden knob that is explicitly so you convert one of the legs into a walking stick. It also comes with not one, but two carrying bags; one that's thicker and furnished with a (removable) shoulder strap, handle and pockets, and another more basic drawstring bag.Benro also sells what looks to be all manner of replacement parts, from bases to columns, which I really like to see.The included V1E ballhead seems good. It has a level on it and friction control, though I honestly had a hard time understanding how the friction control knob works. I thought I understood it, but it actually has two different parts that adjust independently, and I don't really get how they interact... Anyway, I would suggest picking up a spare quick-release plate. The whole tripod is actually useless without a plate, so it's a good idea to keep a spare.Edit 8/3/2021**So two things. First, the ballhead tightening dial's measuring ring has come loose. Which is to say, it spins on its own, independent of the dial. Pretty sure there's glue or something that was holding it still and has since come loose. The other thing is that at some point, the ballhead's level fell out. I have no idea how, but I noticed last night that it was simply gone. I don't really use a physical level much, prefer the camera sensor. But this sort of middling build quality isn't what I like to see. These are both issues specific to the ballhead, so maybe Benro just skimped on the quality there. Either way, it's not something I like to see on a tripod I paid $400 for.

I was about to buy a tripod for close to $ 400.00 + $ 60.00 for metal spikes, + 90.00 for a short column + + +.The difference in weight was a few ounces. The quality seems fine, everything feel great, the head hold firm. You cannot beat it for the money. 5 Stars.
