We've had several different kinds, and they seem to respond to all of them about the same. They have, after a period of several months, gradually torn off the wings and unraveled the chenille, but they still play with them even after they have torn them up. We discovered by accident that leaving this toy in our cat toy box detached from the pole, that the cats will play with this by themselves, by dragging it around, batting the bug end, and chasing the string end. One of our cats even fetches this toy, bringing it to us in his mouth and dropping it at our feet when he wants to play. These are a little expensive as cat toys go, but well worth it for the stimulation and enrichment it gives the cats, and the laughs it gives the family.I have not received this product free or at a discount for my review; we just love it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really fun but be careful of small parts *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2018* My cat really loves this toy and yes, it sort of floats like in fly fishing. Truly? These flies are made of tiny parts that are dangerous if swallowed. It's absolutely necessary to keep an eye on your cat and ensure pieces don't break off in your cat's mouth. Both of these were gifts and when one of them was opened, the clasp wouldn't open in order to put in on the wand. Thankfully Amazon has a great return policy for their customers, and I was able to return it, no problem. Hoping the replacement one will work, as otherwise, this is a really great toy. The cats love this one, thus the reason I'm still leaving this at 5 stars.I have an older cat that doesn't really care so much about wand toys any more. This attachment rekindled his desire to play with them..It's seriously got him hopping up, not like he used to, but definitely got him moving.
