The sound is very crisp, yet boomy and rich in quality. This processor is amazing. It has completely turned our analog system hooked up with a yamaha mixer and crown's amplifiers with the above mentioned speakers into a superb digital sound that I never thought we could ever achieve. By the way, the mics are shure blx24/beta58a. I love this processor and I bet you won't regret if you are an audiophile.If you need a processor, I will highly recommend this product because you can get a better and quality sound without spending a fortune.
