I did know that I chose this one in particular because of the weight. I have a Merkur HD which was my go to but after 2 days using this one, I may have found my new go to.I use a Feather blade and use various types of shaving creams. The first day I did a traditional bush as creme with pre shave oil. At first I didn't think I had the angle correct because I couldn't hear the cutting of my scruff. To my pleasant surprise, it worked really well being very gentle and non aggressive. The second day I used it in the shower. What I noticed in the last 2 shaves, is that I only did 2 passes (with and side of the grain) with a clean up pass only. Normally, I have to do a third pass (against) and then multiple clean up. The closeness of the shave is unmatched compared to my 2 others.The appearance is nice and uniform. I love the grip of the handle. Even with tons of lather in my hands, it always felt secure. My Merkur HD has a slick handle that I had to put sugru (moldable plastic) to give me some grip.I really recommend this and I would venture trying out their other selections soon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome Heavy Weight Razor *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2017* In terms of quality, the weight of the handle relieves some of the pressure needed for a smooth shave along with less aggressive angle closed comb head. On top of that, the knurling on the handle also provides good grip even when its wet and the quality on the satin finish for the handle was executed excellently.
