I am the process of rebuilding a big block motor so I thought I would attempt the transmission next. I have never tore into a transmission before but after reading thru the book I think I will have enough info to complete the rebuild of my transmission. There are special tools that you need to help with the tear down and assembly of your transmission so I was a little irritated that no specs were given to help build your tools. As a toolmaker in the skilled trades I can figure out what I need to build fixtures and jigs. There is a bunch of info on the web for tool design for spring compressors so it takes a little bit of research to find the right one.
