I bought the black color which is subdued and my wife says they look stylish. You could swim in them but I think they’re best for knocking around in hot weather or for wearing when there’s a chance you might get wet. I use them for fishing. They have three pockets, a pseudo fly, and there’s no liner so you’ll have to go commando or wear underwear but wearing underwear would defeat the purpose of a quick-drying short. The pseudo fly, which is a flap, button, and velcro is a little annoying but not a deal breaker. They are cheaply made but priced accordingly ($20). They run big. I’m 5’9” and 142 lbs. and bought the size 30 which are a little loose. Colors a pattern is nice and represented well online. What I do not like is the material that the shorts are made out of. It is rough and stiff, but it is light. Being light I would have expected it to breathe well but it doesn't. As far as a board short goes if expect it to breathe a lot better than what it does.
