It actually weighed 65 grams, which worked out to 600 GSM as advertised. After washing and drying, the washcloth has lost 10% of its weight. Cleaned out the dryer lint trap, found a huge amount of lint that matched the color of the towel set. Hopefully this was a one-time shedding, and we won't keep losing material in every wash. To be honest, they tend to look almost white unless you hold them up against a white item. I guess we could call them ' off white'.I washed them twice and dried once before using. Yes, they shed lint in the dryer for a few washings but that's typical of most towels. I didn't notice any shrinkage as they held their shape very well. I don't use fabric softener on my bath linens and I wash in cold or warm and dry on low.They are fluffy and quite absorbent. I really like them and for what I paid, I'm pleased with this set. I normally buy Pinzon but am glad I got these instead as they seem much thicker and larger.
