Review: Poor build quality - Brand new out of the box had a large atrifact in zone 3. No biggie would have used it anyway later trying to focus the unit it wouldn't focus on anything further than 10 to 15 yards. Contacted desertcart to replace the unit. They can't replace it onmy offer a refund. This unit also didn't come with any quality sheet, my brother bought one and it was great and with a quality sheet. Either AGM is spotty with QC or they just let this one slip through the cracks.

It came with a signed spec sheet. While the spec sheet says there are a few small blems, I do not see them. The blems are far too small to notice in all lighting conditions. I have only had it for a few days but so far 5 out of 5 stars for me!

- This is the question I received word for word. 
A: These are in fact the " real deal ".  Provided what you are looking for is the USMC spec PVS-14  ( brand new minus the 4 or 5 bloom spots lol ) and IOT prove I am not a Robot but in fact a slightly intoxicated Marine Writing a Review "Foxtrot Tango Hotel Echo Charly Charly Papa" (5-Stars if you're looking to do night land nav without walking into a tree)

A: 40

**Q: Can we use rechargeable batteries for this?**
A: In short, the answer no. Lithium batteries tend to work best for all night vision devices and with a pvs-14. You’re generally looking around 40-45 hours of run time off one battery. Do not use nickel or older batteries for the same reason as rechargeable batteries. They tend to leak. If the rechargeable batteries void your warranty you’re looking 100-250 bucks for the battery housing if you feel you can change it out yourself which is fairly easy and I would recommend if that particular circumstance happens. You’ll save 80 bucks a year if you use this device full time meaning 40 hours a week until the service life ends “10,000” hours. Lithium batteries are around 2 bucks per battery. Rechargeable batteries tend to have a peak and a low point towards the end of its charge, so it may be difficult or not function quiet the same towards the end of the cycle. Is it really worth it at the end of the day for you? If so you can give it a shot and save the money. I’ve seen people do it but they also know the risks involved. Check with the manufacturer first under the warranty.

Very pleased with the PVS14! It is exactly as advertised. It has auto gating, manual gain, auto gain, came with everything except a rhino mount. It came with a signed spec sheet.
