Floome measures the blood alcohol concentration ("BAC") providing you with an estimate directly on your smartphone. It connects via a standard audio jack, like normal headsets. How does it work? Connect Floome to your smartphone, turn the mouthpiece towards you, and blow. Floome uses the same sensor used by most of law enforcement officers around the world. If the app shows you a red screen after the test, your alcohol level is over the legal limit of the Country/State where you are while testing. Wait for the estimated recovery time suggested by the application, and then repeat the test. After selecting your weight, gender, height and age, the app will estimate how long it takes your body to dispose of the estimated BAC. Floome offers several additional services, like: finding nearby taxis and restaurants, sharing test results with your contacts, and keeping track of the results by providing additional information such as the absorbed calories. * Smartphone not included

I picked up one of these Floome breathalyzers and love it. There is an app associated with the hardware and is required in order for your device to work. The app is well thought out and the Floome is no larger than a current car fob, or alarm fob making this highly portable. The best part is no battery is required to run the device.After a couple of drinks I tested it out and it matched my BAC levels properly to calculators on the web. That's fine considering I was at home testing it out, but I got it for the nights that I go out and don't keep track of my intake.Very simple to use and intuitive. Highly recommended.

2020.06.22. Have used this product and it was very good. However the breathalizer app nnolonger appears and I am unable to contact Floome via their website. Presume they must have gone out of business. Pity.
