If you don’t expect more than that from it, you’ll love it. My daughter uses it at her “home” school desk on hot days and it does a great job of keeping her cool, but it does not cool a room down. You have to be within a few feet of it for it to have a cooling effect, but that was all we expected, so we’ve been quite happy with it. Doesn’t really blow cold air. It just feels like a regular fan. It’s cute and it’s nice how it is portable. There is sound, its not “quiet”. Sounds like a water fountain and a mini fan blowing (that’s if its on the low setting). I bought this for my bedroom because my ac is currently not working. I have an odd shaped house and a couple of rooms are very cut off so they tend to not get a lot of air flow and this thing has helped so much. It’s very small but effective.
