NEVER cooking pasta on the stove top again.Here's why:1. Precision is easier to achieve. Once you know your microwave's exact time for perfect pasta you get perfection every time. For me - spaghetti is 19 minutes out of the 18-20 minutes instructions. I'll never have to check multiple times in a pot of boiling water when pasta seems perfectly al dente!!! This alone makes it more convenient.2. The box came with 2 lids, pasta boat and 2 inserts for steaming. Some reviews had me expecting only 2 items for cooking pasta which I was fine with so I was pleasantly surprised there were 5 items in the box.3. Any one weak from health issues like carpal tunnel - this is a BIG upgrade from handling a steal pot.4. This microwave pasta cooker can cook an entire box of pasta.
