One of our laptops had an internal camera that a tech specialist spent an hour working on it (and he's REALLY good) to no avail. SO I ordered this because it was needed quickly and was at least a 720p. Plugged it in... went to webcamtests,com to test it, and it worked perfectly! I recommend it! ### ⭐⭐ Cannot turn camera off!! I have to unplug the USB and then remember to plug it in before each use. The camera did set up quickly (literally plug and play) and does what it should for a $30 electronic, meaning people can see me when I'm on a video chat. However, even for only $30 the fact that I cannot turn the camera off, ever, even when all video apps are closed that would potentially be using it, is a deal breaker. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA UNLESS YOU NEVER EVER WANT PRIVACY!!! Also, if I plug it in during a video chat (even if I have the video set to 'do not show' the camera starts up immediately and overrides any 'audio only' settings I have in the app at that time!!! Also unsettling since I discovered that by mistake about halfway through an online chat!!! I'd return it but the time period has passed.
