A hex wrench and hex key are included with the chair but that would take a long time for assembly due to the location of the screws. Some reviewers mentioned a half day to assemble if using the included tools and I would say that is likely the case. With a power drill and the correct bit, I was able to assemble the chaise in 20 minutes.
