I just made the switch to 100% synthetic with 20% lucas and a splash or 2 of seafoam or a few ozs of marvel mystery every other change.. I think the key is to change every 50 and use NO ETHANOL FUEL - you can goog where near you to buy no ethanol gas. Always dump the recommended amount of Stabil or seafoam into ur gas as soon as you get it - or better yet put the fuel stabilizer in the gas can BEFORE hauling off to the local purveyor of petrol. I dont think one has to spend $10 a quart to 10w30 with a green and yellow label. Any good SJ SN SM rated oil on back of oil bottle should do. Just check oil befote start-up each and every time. Synthetic has shown to last longer than most other forms of oil, but if you are into changing your oil fairly often, conventional oil is cheaper and serves the same purpose. That is the long answer.
