For example: in the jewellery sector, table manufacturing, for “river tables”, floors, ponds, aquarium and terrarium construction, as well as for boat, ship and aircraft construction. Moulded parts can also be cast in silicone moulds and carbon, aramid and fibreglass connections are also possible. Also ideal for model making. - The solvent-free Dipoxy-2K-700 resin is mixed at a mixing ratio of 2:1 (e.g. 100 g A and 50 g B) mass units (according to weight) and can therefore be processed easily. Ideally, components A and B are mixed at a temperature of 10 - 20 °C. Although Dipoxy-2K-700 is generally self-venting, for best results, ensure it is stirred at a maximum of 250 - 350 rpm for approx. Stir for 4 - 5 minutes until both components are well mixed! Warning: risk of burning! As soon as both components are mixed, a chemical reaction occurs in which heat is released. Depending on how high the mixture is in a glass or bucket, the heat may not be dissipated quickly enough through the surface. So the rule: “better wide and flat than high and narrow!” always applies. For example, with a mixture of 300 ml in a cup approx. 15 cm high, it is likely (depending on the outside temperature) that after 15 - 25 minutes it will get so hot that you could burn yourself, before it then hardens immediately. However, if you fill the same mixture in a bucket and it is only 1 cm high, it will not get hot and you can probably use it easily after 60 minutes. The resin, despite being exothermic, did not get to hot to hold in a basic 16oz plastic cup (again as I have previously experienced with other brands). The resin I had poured was touch dry on the surface after 6h. After 10h I was just too impatient and removed my projects. They were fantastic. Crystal clear, durable, no ‘skin’ from resin flash curing. Still flexible because obviously I just can’t wait. I am absolutely delighted by my purchase. However, we do not recommend making epoxy cookware. Dipoxy OZ **Q: Good afternoon, will this be ok to build a little plywood boat? Joining the stitched seams as a glue?** A: I do not know. But I accidentally left my mixing bow on a piece of corrugated steel painted with hamerite paint. The next day I picked it up with difficulty and the paint came with the bowl. Stripping back to bear steel. Must be an excellent glue. **Q: can i use this on fibreglass roof?** A: Yes but takes a couple of days to harden **Q: I want to fill a channel 60cm x 15cm with a 2cm depth, could i do this in one pour?** A: In no case can it be done in one go! With this type of epoxy resin - 1 step - 1 layer no more than 1 cm. After complete hardening / drying (8-12 hours) it is possible to create the next layer of 1 cm.
