However I am not sure USGA rules regarding that if the unit has to be marked in a way to show that it has been turned off. Our golf course do not use prisms and it has no problem locking on scan mode.A neat feature that I wasn't sure how I would like is the screen. I've gone to a couple golf ranges and the distances to the signs are within 1-2' of actual--or at least what it says on the sign. During pin-seeking mode, it doesn't take more than one second to return a distance. The screen on the side is pretty cool but I don't really use it that often.
