It's very vibrant and it just puts you in a happy mood to be sleeping in such a lovely bedding set. A bed skirt does nor sheets come with it, however, I didn't need them. I ordered them before the bedding came. The comforter, pillow cases and shams are oversized and fit extra large California king bed and oversized pillows. It has truly brightened my room so much !! Now I love reading in my bedroom a lot more. Oh, the throw pillows are very, very pretty and good in size & quality. I would most definitely purchase this again !!! 1. This is not a pieced quilt. The pieced look is achieved by the pattern on the fabric, so that from a distance it looks pieced, but in closer inspection, you can see that it’s not. That said... 2. It is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are vibrant but soft. It really looks like the photos. It’s a show-stopper. Perfect for the shabby chic/farmhouse/country decor. 3. Quality seems really good. I purchased for my (almost) three year old’s bedroom, and it’s already withstood numerous washings, spills, and little girl wallowing. Still looks like I unpacked it yesterday. No frays or seams coming loose or anything. 4. It is definitely a quilt, but it is all-season. It has good weight to it, but isn’t overly heavy. If you typically want a lot of warmth for winter, put a blanket under it. Likewise if you’re a hot sleeper in summer, turn it down and just sleep under the sheet.
