Review: not compact, but a wonderful palette - I ordered this under the mistaken impression it was as compact as the 18 well palettes that are similarly designed, but it's actually quite large. That being said, it has 20 wells (21 if you count a little divit in the main part of the palette- I always squeeze a bit of neutral tint in there) - weirdly enough the photo makes it look like it has 19, but it really has 20. I am definitely a watercolor collector and I squeeze my tubes into half pans and store them in thos big round Robax palettes, but a while ago I started realizing that I really resisted using watercolors in half pans because I hate "scrubbing" larger brushes in the tiny pans. So I decided to get several of these smaller palettes for my favorite colors so that when I paint with larger brushes, I don't have to deal with the "dabbing" of paint. These are easy to fill, easy to clean, and a joy to watercolor with. Again- they are not compact, and they are not airtight, but they are great for creating limitied color palettes and for painting with larger brushes. Review: Absolutely Love this palette - Just love this palette, great amount of mixing space, 20 wells for plenty of color, and honestly if you let your paints dry before traveling you shouldn't have any leak issues. It would be amazing if Mijello would create this exact really amazing palette and add another 4 to 6 wells..... Does that mean you get two?** A: I never noticed that it said two pack when I ordered the palette. Just one came in my package. But it does have a removable clear tray on one side so you could possibly use this as more space to mix colors. **Q: Where does this ship from?** A: I think it was from the manufacturer (Mijello?) **Q: Are the wells big enough to fit pans and still close the palette?** A: I think the middle mixing area could hold a 1/2 pans. I have both this palette and the Mijello 18 Wells and I prefer the 18 Wells because it has a rubber gasket preventing any kind of leakage. **Q: Is this air tight?** A: It shuts tightly, but does not have any type of rubber gasket. I don't have any problems with my watercolors in it. I have all of the slots filled with tube watercolors and rewet them when I paint. Stain-resistant but paint beads up a lot until you've used it awhile- it's a slick plastic. I like the ergonomic thumb grip in the corner, and the paint wells are placed on one side to prevent spillage when the palette is closed. I removed a star because I can't figure out exactly what the removable clear plastic inner cover is for (extra mixing space?) There's a leaflet that came with it but it's in Korean, so no help there.
