Supco Series LP6440 Washer Drain Pump 436440

Little bit lauder than original pump but fits and works good.

Replaced a 10 year old original pump as a preventative maintenance when replacing a main rubber seal that started to leak due to age of rubber. This required removal of the door and opening the front of the washer anyway. It seemed a good idea to replace the pump at the same time. At the first glance, the inlet connector seemed too small to fit the inlet pipe fully. This was very frustrating to discover. However, after lubricating the end of the hose and inside of the inlet with some hand cream the problem was solved - the inlet hose inserted fully and seated properly. Electrical connector on this pump is rotated 90 degrees and covered with a shroud on the top, as compared to original pump, which makes it a bit tricky to connect. The shroud would protect the connector from any dripping water from the top, so it can be considered an improvement. Rubber drain hose for the "coin catcher" is a welcome addition. I used a zip tie to position that hose away from any sharp edges of the washer's sheet metal body to avoid any damage to that rubber hose during washer's operation. Motor seems to be rated for shorter run cycle than original pump's motor - 10 mins run time instead of 15 mins. This should not be an issue. Motor is brushless, with sealed rotor, just like motor on the original pump. So far so good, this new pump is working well. The old pump with a lot of discoloration on the inside is stored away as a spare, after a good cleaning from sand, rusty coins and other trapped debris. Old pump can also be modified to add a drain hose by drilling out a hole in the molded connection that is already present but not open. I expect another 10 years of quiet service from this excellent washer.

Our Bosch Nexxt 500 washer kept showing E04 error code, which is for a drain clog or too much detergent. Nothing found "coin trap", nothing lodged in the drain lines, finally ordered this entire new pump assembly. Install was not terribly difficult, the only real problem I encountered was that the washer's original drain line doesn't match up exactly with the drain line fitting that's molded into the body of the pump assembly. The drain line's two small "ears" that are intended to latch into the fitting (and did so just fine on the original pump assembly) wouldn't quite engage. It seems that the geometry of this replacement pump assemby's fitting differs slightly from the original, but I was able to make it work with a little extra effort. Also, this pump included the small black drain line as shown in the photo of the product. My original pump did not include this small drain line, although it has the fitting for it. It allows you to get the water trapped in the system out in a nicely-controlled and much less messy manner than without the line, when it comes time to check the coin trap or perform any other maintenance. Plenty of wash loads complete with no error codes, so I would say this is a great replacement at a very reasonable cost.

This is supposed to be a direct replacement and looks like oem. However this one has a pump discharge port that is 2mm too small for the drain hose. I wasted an hour trying to force it to fit but ended up damaging my hose. I even used lubricant and a lot of force. Bosch doesn't even sell this pump anymore as it has been discontinued. I spent hours reading the reviews of the other companies that manufacturer this part and all of them have the same issue. I don't think I am going to find a pump that fits so I will most likely have to purchase a new machine. What a waste of time.

A neighbor's washing machine stopped draining. I offered to supervise one of her teenage sons replacing the pump, and so we bought this, he watched a YouTube video showing how to replace it, and did the job. The pump works fine, and replacement was pretty straighforward. The only challenge was that one of the blue wires that powers the pump came out of the connector when we were unplugging it, but we stripped the wire again, and the connector is designed so that it slides apart, then you poke in the wire, and squeeze the connector together again to trap the wire in place and make contact. For $50 the pump seems to work fine and does the job, and saved a single-parent family a bunch of money on calling out a repair company or buying a new washer.

My Bosch pump died, and the repair man said he could get an OEM pump for substantially more money than this item, or I could just buy this and install it myself. So I did. My particular washer has a small, round hole that exposes the pump, and getting it installed though that small hole was a little tricky, but not too bad. I think maybe taking off the entire front panel of the washer could have saved me a little frustration. I also had to tilt the entire washer back a bit while getting the pump's rubber feet into the slots. As others have noted, the hose is a tight fit. I had to lube it up pretty good to get it to go. This may actually be an advantage -- it seems like a tight fit should be more reliable in the long run, even if it's a pain in the neck to install.

Exactly what was needed at a great price (and fast delivery by Amazon). Simple enough for a handy person to get your Bosch Washing Machine back up and running. Everything fits right up and can be done through the access hole in front of the washer (bottom right hand corner). Yes you will scrape up your arm and hand a bit going through the hole but its easily done. It covers a bunch of different models so search around a bit to confirm it is the right one for your machine. Hope this helps

It was a perfect fit replacement for the failing pump on my Bosch Nexxt 500 washer. We removed the top of the washer but left the control panel in place, and removed the lower back panel to access the pump. We also removed the hoses and cleaned them out. Ours were filled with sludge, which may have been why it wasn't draining. It is very possible the pump was fine, but it couldn't push the water through. In any case it's all working well now and my only complaint would be that it was in properly packaged for shipping. This resulted in a couple of pieces breaking off of the lip. It does not affect functionality, but I would appreciate merchandise that isn't damaged when I pay full price for it. That's a shipper issue.
