If I was using a long boom arm I may want a bit better but this does the job and it has a heavy metal base and is white! I needed, white! These stands in general are at a entry price point and i'm happy with it and would buy again! It is a very good value for a mic stand in a fixed location as I may not want to tour with a entry level mic stand but if you need a white stand that will be in a Church or something this works perfect for me! The packaging was in bad shape when it arrived as it was NOT double boxed and had holes in the box but nothing was missing. I guess that heavy metal base is hard on a box but all was okay!
