## Description

The Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw is the solution to the problem of having to take materials back to the workshop to cut them, and then bring them back to the job site later on. If you’re a contractor, you know that that process can add an entire day to a project. The BladeRunner is only 15 lbs, so while stable and sturdy, it’s easy to toss in the back of the truck. And with a footprint of only 15.75” x 17”, it doesn’t take up an entire workbench like traditional table saws. The hold-down guard and splitter allow for work with wider materials, and a larger rip fence than other portable table saws provides better control and accurate cuts. A no-load speed of 3000/min, a stroke length of ¾”, with 5.5 amps of power gives it the capacity for light to moderate cutting of wood (up to 1-1/2”), ceramic tile (3/8”), PVC pipe (1-1/4”), aluminum (3/8”), and steel (1/8”). (Anything over 1-1/2” and you’re probably going to need a traditional, permanently fixed tabletop saw—but you can’t take that to the job site.) The blades change out almost instantly, in under 3 seconds once you get the hang of the tool-less blade change system. And the saw is protected by a Rockwell 3-year limited warranty, so you know they stand behind their tools.

Review: Can’t beat the price and gets the job done! - Love this! Can’t beat the price, weight, and ease of use. I did a DIY basement renovation and used this to cut laminate flooring. Couple of things... it’s cheap and does the job but, you have to guide the pieces your cutting precisely. The guides aren’t much use with cutting planks. So a lot is left to your hand to make straight. I drew lines on the wood to make sure I followed the right cut. But for the price and how much it saved me laying the floor myself, it was worth the effort and a couple messed up planks in the trash. It’s light so that was a problem sometimes as the whole unit would move as I was trying to cut something. So finding a way to secure it down helps you make more accurate cuts. It also allowed me to do custom cuts if I took the guard off it and just used it as and open blade. Though, that’s dangerous and not recommended in the manual so use caution. For cutting down long planks, it’s annoying when you get to the bracket that holds the blade in place but if your cut is straight the plank splits perfectly fine at that point since it’s not too wide and you can keep cutting all the way down the length of the piece. All in all, was perfect for my small job.
Review: JIGSAW TABLE - July 2019... Assuming desertcart has not shadow banned this review... Still have it. The added variable speed control is nice (for this and my other devices). This product is mainly for 1" thick wood pieces, but I still like it. I have cut 3/8" thick 6061 aluminum successfully, once is enough. I guess an "orbital" blade driver would be better, but I have no experience with them. Lots of vibration if you want to use it for hard stuff. But I am keeping it! Again... If you ever wanted an upside down jigsaw, this is it. December 2, 2016... I replaced the hazardous speed control. Bought some 1 foot power cord extenders and stuck it in-line on one of those. Works great. January 24, 2016... Perfect for me. Makes occasional wood cuts a breeze. Use a small quick-clamp to clamp small pieces to the miter attachment, that makes clean cutting something like a 1 x 4 very easy. I tossed the guide arm, no need for that here. Don't even think about building an upside down jigsaw while this thing is available. My original review... I'm enjoying it. The rip fence and miter thingy make it more useful than I thought. Somebody complained about the blade guide being in the way so that the rip fence cannot be precisely the same measurement as it is at the blade. But that doesn't really matter. The blade has a kerf and it will cut accurately right there at the blade even if the other end of the rip fence is slightly misaligned (so that the material passes through the blade guide neck). I might be able to get rid of my miter saw now. Calling this a "table saw" is just confusing. A tablesaw is well defined... It has a circular blade, cuts straight only, and cuts much faster. Something like "jigsaw table" is a much better name for it. Buy some better blades and keep the supplied blades as backup. Bosch blades are sharper. Added a speed controller. There are serious risks involved, so do not try it unless you know what you're doing. WARNING: The way I have the speed controller connected in the picture is too risky for the vast majority of people. Sooner or later, I will get around to sticking the knob through the side of the plastic base so that it can be adjusted while keeping my hands away from the circuit. That will be much less dangerous. I just wanted to show that it can be used with the speed controller. And it has proven so. I notice no difference in the power regardless of speed. By the way... If you don't have one already, buy a modern headlamp like a Fenix HL-55. You'll never have to worry about lighting problems again for anything and everything you do around the house.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the table made from plastic? It is hard to tell if it is made from black plastic or anodized aluminum.**
A: It's made of hard black plastic.

**Q: Can it hold up to regular use with 1" hardwood like maple and ash? If not, what will?**
A: I have found 1.5 " to be the maximum. I have cross cut 2 x 3s, & ripped a 2x2 (32" long) down to create a custom 1 1/8" for repairing a hollow door--- However that long rip cut took about 10 minutes, using a 'fast' cut blade. It is very slow going on a rip cut-- like 1 mm per 2 seconds. I would expect it would also be very slow on 1" hardwood. It is okay for crosscuting lumber & scroll work & custom part making (slow cuts)... But not a heavy duty machine for production parts

**Q: What is the difference between this unit and the RK7321 BladeRunner.**
A: Good afternoon. From what I can find the RK7321 is a heavier built unit with a little more metal and less plastic and includes a wall mount which is not indicated with the RK7323.

**Q: how would it work w/ making pinewood derby cars?**
A: I bought the saw for just this reason, and was dissatisfied enough that I sent the saw back. The specs say that it will cut wood 1½" wide. Standard pinewood derby cars are 1¾" wide, so they're out of spec, and I can tell you from experience that it's definitely too much for the saw to handle. Even trying to make vertical cuts through the car body, which is only 1¼" tall, is too much for this saw. I tried a bunch of other scrap pieces of wood of varying widths, and with varying (better quality) blades than are included in the kit.
I couldn't get the saw to make satisfactory cuts on anything wider than ½". So if you want to make pinewood derby cars, you're better off spending $50 more or so for a small band saw.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I was looking for!!
*by C***9 on April 29, 2020*

I just needed something to cut small pieces for little electronic projects. My cuts need to be straight, but not beautiful. I have used this a couple of times cutting butcher block plastic and small oak pieces to built little boxes to house electronic controls. It works great and it's very light. Keep in mind it uses jig saw blades. In my career I have actually seen guys with homemade contraptions that work almost exactly like this, but of course without the safety aspects. You cannot mill any grooves in wood by setting the blade low and running your work back and forth. It's like a jig saw mounted upside down in a box. It's mitering capabilities are limited. It's scrolling capabilities are quite nice for my needs. It is a small table top. Everything stores conveniently on board and it has a handle to carry the whole package if you need to take it with you. A few blades were included, but they are standard jig saw blades so there are hundreds of options as far as getting the right blade to cut certain materials, including ceramic tile, light gauge metal and aluminum. You can cut just about any material that you can find a jig saw blade for. Blade storage on board. It has a vacuum attachment to collect dust while you are working. I have not tried that yet, but I am sure it helps with clean up a lot. I do not see how it could go wrong. I suggest you watch the video and make a decision on whether this saw meets your needs. For me it is perfect.
