This product is an active Dry Yeast, and is ideally used for temperatures between 110-115 degrees Fahrenheit. Store in a cool, dry place. We do not recommend refrigeration or freezing of the powder. Packaged in a facility that processes dairy, soy, peanuts, and wheat products.

The price for the amount and that it's non-gmo is amazing!The complaints of product being somewhat uncomfortably close to the expiration date are accurate. I received my packages (16oz each) March 10, 2022 and they are marked for expiration July 9, 2022. It's just yeast and personally being stored long-term in freezer, but this small window can negatively impact the yeast's storage durability.
