Nothing cuts into acquiring shoes like a monthly mortgage payment.I was pretty impressed with Penny Love Kenny and I wish the best for Penny and Kenny and their continued love.The shoe is very sturdy. I could chuck this shoe at someone and the shoe would be fine. It is not a shoe that is going to lose its structure or shape anytime even after a lot of wear. Fantastic!The "velvet" is so nice. Just perfect. Not a flaw or imperfection. Just perfect!There is a velvet patch on the bottom of the sole of the shoe (you can see it in the pictures) I didn't notice in my excitement to get these shoes on so I did some impromptu ballet-parkour moves when it first stepped (with gusto) onto my hardwood floors. I was worried about this feature - until it got a little more scuffed and then I found it grabbed the ground quite nicely and provides some traction. I know this because I wore these to a wedding and didn't slip once while heading to that open bar. If you get what I'm saying here. (#drunk).I was perfectly delighted by these shoes. I got them in the gray and black - the black is BLACK - not some weird faded whatever. The gray is a nice soft-neutral gray. I wasn't sure about the gray when I ordered but now I am thrilled I got it. It's a nice neutral but not as formal as the black. If you want to add a pop of color without adding COLOR!!! the gray is a sweet choice. Great for any season.I tend to wear heels all day, everyday and these only start to hurt a little by the tail end of the day. I think some is because I am still breaking them and they are built not to give too much. I wouldn't say they are uncomfortable, though. If you are in heels like this all day and walking around, you're toes are going to feel it. No biggy!I normally wear a size 9.5 in Steve Madden and that is my go-to size when ordering or trying on shoes. I did get a 9 in Penny Loves Kenny and they do fit just fine. My one foot is a little smaller than my other food (because I'm a mutant) so I even slide out of the one which does cause the heel to drag across the carpet in a wonderful fart sound.Pro? Con? You decide.All in all - I look forward to buying more of this brand!UPDATES:After wearing a pair these almost every day for 77 days, the plastic heel cap broke/wore off.
