Review: Fantastic add-in for the PCM 3.1 for Porsche - Installed this in my 2015 Boxster S. The daughterboard that is installed inside the head unit fit very well with the XM antenna mount. The Kit I received came with 6 standoffs to adjust the height of the XM receiver inside the PCM. Everything went smooth with the install but allow some time for the install. I admit I was unusually careful, and it took about 6 hours to complete. Wireless works great! Not hard to pair and start up, works as advertised. When I start the car, the unit pairs up automatically and brings up the Carplay Menu. I recommend this for anyone looking to add Carplay to their PCM 3.1

I think the lack of written instruction and super clear video guide is what holds this product back from having 5 stars. The kit comes complete with everything needed except for really good instructions. If you are NOT a DIYer or comfortable with replacing a radio in general, this isn’t for you to install. I installed this with a buddy of mine who is more comfortable with wiring - I am far from a car audio installer…and yet, I have not had a single issue. The sound quality is crisp, it never cuts out, and it always connects and simply works. Good bang for the buck.

**Q: I would like to order but how do I let you know that I have Sirius radio?**
A: JoyAuto device doesn't matter if your car have Sirius radio or not,compatiable and works well for both

**Q: Does this support wireless android auto?  In the top description, it says "wired" but in the bottom description, it says "wireless android auto"**
A: I did installed on my Porsche Macan 2016, the installation instructions were not 100% easy, but a good car stereo installer must be capable to handle it, unfortunately you will have to lose the Sirius radio as it use same slot in the board, it leave a usb connector for cable connecting ( and charging ), but the interface Bluetooth allows wireless car play, after initial pairing and setup , the car recognize your phone and pair CarPlay automatically , works fine, I did have trouble to get audio sound out ( Spotify), but other wise,  google maos, maps, calls abs and even Siri works fine.

**Q: I just purchased a 2017 macan s. it does not have navigation but it has a navi button.  do i need anything besides this unit to get carplay?**

**Q: Does this work with pcm 3.43 on 2012 porsche cayenne?**

### ⭐ An absolute inferior product

The CarPlay only works once a while. I tried everything and still no sound. I have been reading up on it on Rennlist and other Porsche forum. They said I need to plug in a dummy plug into the AUX port but still no luck. I was also told by Joyeauto to use Aux mode which I did and still no sound. The interface is definitely not steady and doesn't respond once a while. Don’t waste your money and look elsewhere. There’s another version (just a board) which doesn’t require an external box which is annoying and troublesome.
