This alarm system uses a simple but highly reliable magnetic switch. The sensor contains a strong permanent magnet. If the door or window opens even slightly, the sensor (magnet) is separated from the alarm - when the door or window is opened - the switch is tripped a LOUD and startling alarm sounds that can be heard for several hundred feet. No wiring, drilling or tools needed; alarm & sensor are easy to move - just replace double-sided adhesive foam tape. Works on doors, sliding doors, casement and double-hung windows. Powered for over a year by 3 small watch-type batteries (LR44/AG13) that are inexpensive and easy to replace. Durable thermoplastic in off-white blends into any decor. Sold in sets of one alarm & one sensor; order multiples sets for securing more than one door or window.
