I was amazed that the cost of lumber made the actual build so expensive. I took the parts list to my local building supply and dropped $1147, not including tools, mostly due to the high cost of plywood. And I have not yet purchased roofing materials. I probably should have requested a lower grade of plywood, but I (my wife) wanted a pretty exterior. One area where I would have liked some improvement was in the instructions, which I found thorough but a little bit hard to follow. (maybe I did not build enough models as a kid). I did modify the plans somewhat to make the shed lower and less deep.. (my wife preferred it be less visible) This prove fairly easy to do.
