For reference, we live in the desert, and also have a bathroom closet drying vent that runs 24-7, so it's very dry in our apartment. I'm subtracting another star since I think they should've lasted longer for the price.I received a sample of this product for evaluation and review. They are lovely, although the clasps are really tight, which makes it difficult for my arthritic fingers to open and close. They also need to be pried open wide to fit over my shower rod without scratching (see pic). The hooks come packaged in that terrible plastic seal that I hate, but it's not as thick as those annoying ones on electronic supplies and tools, and I was able to open it with a pair of sturdy scissors. They really are elegant!
