It needs to set for 1-2 minutes without being touched (you cannot close your lips until it's dry). It layers really well if you dry between coats. I noticed that thicker application fades more than one thinner coat - but the color is really rich, and I don't usually use more than one thin coat. I have to touch up the center of my lips every 4-6 hours, but the majority of the color lasts approximately 24 hours! The color itself dries my lips out, but the moisturizer included in this set softens my lips REALLY WELL and actually helps keep the color from fading! I'm absolutely astounded by the longevity of this product. This color is really flattering on me (peachy complexion, medium brunette) and on my sister as well (blonde, pink complexion). 10/5 recommend! Note: this item has two sets, meaning it includes two tubes of color and two tubes of moisturizer.
