It's amusing to me that this has dracula even if my 5 year old doesn't know who that is. The diagrams are concise and easy to understand. There are photos of magnified blood cells, diagrams of how the blood flows thru our bodies. Since all kids skin their knees there is an explanation of what happens when you get a boo-boo and blood comes out and a scab forms while new skin grows to cover the cut. There is even info on how much blood we have inside us at different ages. We are steadily collecting all the "Let's read and find out" series. I haven't found one yet that I didn't enjoy. My 5 year old genuinely loves to learn about science so these books feed his hunger for knowledge. It doesn't seem to matter which level we read from. This one is level 2. He isn't reading them yet but likes me to read to him still. The information isn't over his head even when the reading level is. I highly recommend them all. Also discussed the different cells in the blood and how they work.
